Fellowship

The Fellowship Committee sponsors coffee hour following the 8:00, 10:00 and Noon services each Sunday. The 1st Sunday of each month is Anniversary Sunday, and Birthday Sunday is the 4th Sunday of each month. Parishioners with anniversaries or birthdays that month can celebrate with the Church.  The 2nd and 3rd Sundays recognize other celebrations or events.  Check the Fellowship Bulletin Board within Burkhardt Hall for additional Coffee Hour information.

Coffee Hour:

The Newcomers Wine and Cheese Social in the Memorial Garden is a tradition at Epiphany.  The Social is held in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.  We take the summer off since many Newcomers may not have yet adjusted to our dry heat.  The Social is our way to greet new members or regular visitors who feel at home at Epiphany.  Just sign our guest book and watch for the next scheduled Social.  It’s worth the wait.  For more information, please follow this link.

Newcomers:

For over 35 years, this annual event has been a tradition at Epiphany.  It takes place in late October and is a catered BBQ dinner served in the Church courtyard.  This year Waldo’s Bar-B-Que will cater so we changed the name to the annual Harvest Chuck Wagon Dinner. The Junior High Sunday school group sells desserts as a fundraiser for their “adopt a family program.” Tickets for the Harvest Chuck Wagon Dinner go on sale in late September and pricing is based on the meal ordered.  The date this year is Saturday, October 22.  Follow the link to the Happenings page for more info.

Annual Harvest Steak Fry:

This is a nine-hole scramble event held every year in the fall, typically in November. This fun event is for serious golfers and those for whom this is the only time they swing a club during the year. Lunch and prizes follow in Burkhardt hall.

Annual Golf Outing:

Warm Wassail is served following both Christmas Eve Services in Burkhardt Hall. If you have never had Wassail, what better time to try it than after church on Christmas Eve?  It’s guaranteed to make you jolly.

Christmas Eve Wassail:

This is an annual spaghetti dinner held in Burkhardt Hall on the weekend of the Epiphany. Fellowship hosts the spaghetti dinner and tickets go on sale the middle of December. The Outreach Committee hosts the Auction portion of the event.  The date in 2011 was January 8th.

Epiphany Dinner and Auction:

To signal the beginning of Lent, Epiphany hosts a traditional Pancake supper with Hot Cakes and plenty of syrup.  Today we celebrate for tomorrow we fast.

Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper:

There is a meatless Potluck Dinner held in Burkhardt Hall each Wednesday evening starting at 6:00 pm during lent, prior to the Stations of the Cross. Following the Stations of the Cross a discussion or class is offered in Burkhardt Hall.

Wednesday Lenten Potlucks:

Parish Wide Easter Coffee Hour Celebration. Every parishioner is invited to bring a special item to share for coffee hour. Weather permitting; the Easter Coffee Hour is in the courtyard and the Fellowship Committee provides punch.

Easter Coffee Hour:

This has recently become an annual event in May and takes place under the beautiful big pine trees – picnic style. Fried Chicken is served and parishioners are asked to bring a dish to share. There are games for the children and tickets are on sale a few weeks prior to the picnic.
