The kneelers at the Altar Rail are lovingly produced works of art. They are the culmination of countless hours of sore fingers and warm friendship. They represent major Anglican cathedrals, as well as The Episcopal Church and our own parish. The designs are joined by a grape vine, representing Christ as the true vine. The theme was the idea of Father Ron Poston .
The seven designs were adapted and charted by Anne Lee.
Materials were donated by Karen Ford, in loving memory of her mother, Alice Forshee.
The kneelers were lovingly stitched by a dedicated group of volunteers, under the chairmanship of Amy Douglass, who also helped with stitching and finishing. Stitchers were: Nona Abbott, Theresa Brown, Connie Chamberlain, Anne Dresskell, Barbara Giard, Jeremie Grey, Mary Harthun, Feona Johnson, Alice Norpel, Lynda Odell, Mary Richardson, Nancy Roberts, Charlene Spillum, Dorothy Titcomb, Bonnie White, and Jessie Williams.
They were upholstered by Bonnie White, assisted by Connie Chamberlain, Nancee Bullock, and Edith Strong, and with technical assistance from Bill Chamberlain.
The kneelers were dedicated to the glory of God on the Feast of Pentecost, May 31, 2009, by Father Ron Poston.
