Lay Ministries and Sanctuary Helpers

Acolytes are trained periodically throughout the year. New acolytes are always welcome - young and old alike. We especially are in need of adult acolytes who can serve at the Sunday 8 a.m. and Saturday 5 p.m. Eucharists, and at the weekday Eucharists.

The Altar Guild is comprised of teams of volunteers who are responsible for the preparation of all items used for the various liturgical services of the church. Duties include the maintenance of all linens and vestments and the care and cleaning of the sacristy and the shrines.

The Flower Guild is responsible for the decorations used in the church. They select and arrange the altar flowers which are purchased with the donations of parishioners. A sign-up chart for those who wish to commemorate a certain Sunday with flowers is in the Parish hall.

New Greeters, Lay Readers, and Special Ministers of the Eucharist are always welcome. (Lay Readers and Special Ministers must undergo a brief training.) See Fr. Ron if you are interested.
