A few weeks after my wife and I visited Epiphany for the first time we were impressed to find an invitation in our mail box inviting us to a Wine and Cheese reception. Our immediate reaction was - “Hey, they really do welcome us.”

Three times a year the Newcomers Committee throws a special party at Epiphany for those who are just discovering our church. It’s a fun time and a great way to meet both others new to our church and some longer term members.
The Newcomers Wine and Cheese party is held in the memorial garden following the 10:00 am Sunday service, weather permitting. We invite visitors and new church members to sample a verity of fine wines and cheeses in what we hope will be the first of many great Epiphany events enjoyed as members of our church family. To get started, visitors and those seeking a new church home are encouraged to sign our guest book at the church entrance. Our Newcomers committee will do the rest.
The next Newcomers Wine and Cheese party is scheduled for Spring 2012. Check here for the date when the weather warms a little.
Newcomer Information:
At Church of the Epiphany, Church is a community gathering. As such, friends and newcomers are always welcome. Baptized or not, Catholic, Episcopal, Lutheran, or other, all are welcome. Just come as you are, our strength comes from our diversity.
When you’re here, you’re family.
Inviting a Friend:
Church of the Epiphany attempts to mix a formal, respectful service with the informality and fellowship special to Arizona. Our service is printed in the bulletin distributed as you enter our sanctuary. There is no reserved seating and everyone is happy to help if you get lost during a reading or hymn. Communion is open to all baptized Christians. If not among the baptized and wishing to be blessed, simply approach the rail during communion, kneel and cross your arms over your chest. The priest will bless you in place of offering communion.
